Just because espresso is usually made through a machine that doesn’t stop you from have some control on certain steps in creating espresso. Actually there are a few things that you can do that would decide whether the drink you are preparing comes out weak bitter or both. If you have had  a bad espresso experience then you know that not everyone makes espresso the same way.
By learning to make espresso your own way, you will have control on how the beverage is prepared, and making it taste the way you like it.

Grind the espresso beans

Some espresso machines come with a grinder and others do not. When it comes to grinding the beans there are a few important principles to remember. An example would be, by not grinding your espresso beans enough, could produce a week tasting espresso drink. The outcome of how an espresso drink will taste depends greatly on how fine or course you ground your beans. Your espresso will taste week if your beans are not ground enough, but it could also taste bitter by grinding your beans into a powder. On certain machines that you can purchase they have a grinder with different settings and levels to grind your espresso beans. The settings can range from low, medium or fine and each level will make the espresso have a unique taste once it is prepared.

How much espresso is squeezed out of your machine is also something that is very important to remember. The amount of espresso that comes out of a machine is usually makes a one ounce espresso shot glass. Being able to know when to quit pouring espresso from theespresso machine is very important in how your espresso beverage will taste.

Another beverage you can prepare is a latte drink. What makes a latte different from straight espresso is that chocolate is added to the drink. You can easily can make a latte by pouring 1 ounce of chocolate into a glass and then pour the espresso on top. Make sure to stir the drink thoroughly so to mix the chocolate and the espresso. Then add some whipped cream to the top of the drink to give it that creative touch.

Preparing your own espresso or latte is not a hard process but it does take practice to get your beverage to taste the way you like it.
